What a glorious celebration for River Oaks United Methodist Church
80 Years of Service and Fellowship
Sunday, September 10, 2017, River Oaks United Methodist Church celebrated 80 years of Service, Faith & Fellowship to our River Oaks members and community. With a wonderful worship service led by Rev. Other dignitaries who were also a part of the celebration service were: Rev. Timothy Thomas, Rev. Mike Alexander, Rev. Dr. Ann Hitt, Rev. Jerden Davis and Rev. Tiffany Danna. What an incredible service it was and what blessings our church received. The wonderful sermon and message given by Rev. Linda McDermott and Rev. Thanks also to the wonderfully talented musicians and choral directors past and present, for their contributions to the celebration service. Former director Amy Allibon directed the amazing chancel choir made up of current and past members for the special anthem. The list of wonderful talent included former director, Brent Ault, former director, Aimee Flores, former director Jonah Copeland, present director Jon Kennedy and former pianist Elaine Lindsey and flutist Carole Stubbs. Here are just a few of the wonderful photographic memories that were made from the celebration service and the celebration luncheon afterwards.
