Pastor Samuel Macias

Pastor Samuel Macías has been a devoted servant of the Methodist Church since 2001. With over two decades of experience, he has served as the senior pastor for four churches in Mexico and three churches in Texas, including one as an associate pastor. Currently, he leads as the leading pastor of River Oaks United Methodist Church and serves as an associate pastor at Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Pastor Samuel has the ability to preach and lead simultaneously in both English and Spanish, building meaningful connections within multicultural communities.

Pastor Samuel’s ministry extends beyond the local church. As a District Superintendent in the Eastern Annual Conference in Mexico, he not only supported congregations in their spiritual and organizational growth but also worked closely with the pastors of those congregations. He led events, workshops, and mentorship programs designed to empower clergy and equip them to serve more effectively. His leadership is marked by a collaborative spirit and a deep commitment to nurturing both pastors and the communities they serve.

Inspired by his father, who was a lay pastor in the Methodist Church, Pastor Samuel carries forward a legacy of faithful service. He is supported in his calling by his loving wife, Saby, and their three daughters—Sophia, Saby, and Samantha—who share his devotion to faith and family. At home, the Macías family enjoys the companionship of their dog, Sandy, and their cat, Star.

Pastor Samuel is passionate about sharing the Gospel in ways that transform lives and foster unity across cultures.
